Every quote back to its lead, and a way to fix it later

Work that starts as a lead has a habit of losing its paper trail. Somebody raises the quote from the customer record instead of the lead, and by the time it is won, the lead it came from is still sitting in your pipeline looking untouched. Lead links close that gap at both ends.

What's New

Cooledge offers the link when you create the quote or job. Pick a customer on a new quote or a new job and a panel appears underneath them listing that customer's open leads and, on a quote, any quote visit the work could belong to. The most likely one is already selected, so most of the time you just carry on.

Links can now be corrected. Every quote and job carries a "Linked to" line in its header. Click Change to point it at a different lead or quote visit, or to remove the link entirely. Each quote and job on a lead now has an Unlink action too.

Leads can be created on the spot. For a customer with no lead at all, Cooledge can offer to raise one and ask how they found you, so your channel reporting stays honest. That offer is off until you switch it on in Settings, Leads & Pipeline, Linking.

How It Works

The suggestions panel works in the portal and the mobile app. Changing a link afterwards is a portal job for now. Unlinking is deliberately quiet: the lead keeps its stage and nothing that already happened is undone. One thing worth knowing is to link the lead before the quote is accepted, because attaching one to an already accepted quote will not mark the lead won on its own.

Why It Matters

Your pipeline is only as good as the links behind it. When every quote, job and invoice traces back to the lead that produced it, the deal value on your board is real, your channel reporting tells you where work actually comes from, and nobody has to guess which enquiry turned into the job they are standing on.
